Hello!

Ry is an illustrator and designer currently based in Seattle, WA. Originally from Hawaii, they decided to leave perpetual 80 degree weather to attend the Minneapolis College of Art and Design to obtain a degree in Illustration. Their work often utilizes clean and minimal forms alongside bold colors, soft textures, and refreshing compositions.

They are an experienced product designer, having worked in both soft goods and hard goods. Previously, they worked as kid’s textile designer at Target Headquarters illustrating fun prints and graphics for the Cat + Jack brand. Currently they work as a Color, Material, and Finish designer for Stanley 1913, creating prints and seasonal palettes for SMU programs and Stanley’s DTC platform.

Outside of design, they enjoy tide pooling around the Puget Sound, perusing an antique mall or craft fair, and renting movies from their local video store.
